RAPID / BWI Terminal Retirement · Canadian Pawn Shops & Second-Hand Dealers
January 1, 2027 — that's when the BWI/RAPID dealer terminal shuts down for good. LeadsOnline is retiring it and pointing every Canadian dealer to leadsonline.ca.
Report To LEADS already submits directly to LEADS Online — the same destination RAPID dealers are being migrated to. Same counter routine, current software, ready now instead of scrambling in December 2026.
What's Actually Happening
BWI — the company behind the RAPID dealer terminal — is acquired by LeadsOnline, the operator of the LEADS Online reporting network.
The RAPID dealer portal posts its shutdown date. Canadian dealers still reporting through the old BWI terminal are directed to leadsonline.ca.
The counter terminal many shops have used for years goes dark. Reporting has to happen through LEADS Online directly, or through software built on it — like Report To LEADS.
The Same Counter Routine
One barcode scan fills the whole customer record — name, address, DOB, ID number, description. Webcam grabs the customer photo and ID photo. Repeat customers: already on file, two clicks.
Item, brand, model, serial, photos — several items on one ticket if that's the deal. Receipt prints, label prints, hold period starts on its own and the register won't sell the item early.
Seconds after the ticket saves, the transaction is submitted to LEADS Online in the required format. A history screen shows exactly what went out and when — your proof, kept forever.

Asked & Answered

That's a question for LeadsOnline/BWI directly — Report To LEADS has no access to or connection with the RAPID system. What Report To LEADS does is give your shop its own permanent, searchable record of every transaction going forward, independent of whatever happens to the old terminal.
No new habits to learn: scan the licence, ring the buy, walk away. The same counter routine, in current software, submitting to the same place — LEADS Online.
Yes. Report To LEADS submits directly to LEADS Online — the same network Canadian RAPID dealers are being migrated to.
